Twin Lakes Project — 7/12/18 Update

SCHEDULE UPDATE:

STRIPING WILL TAKE PLACE THURSDAY AND FRIDAY, JULY 19 AND 20.

ROADWORK

Most of the roadwork has been completed, including paving, raising manholes, and installing monument boxes.  Two lane two-way traffic was restored on Friday, June 22.  Striping is all that remains to complete the roadway, and will take place on July 19 and 20.  The striping operation will take two days to complete.  Expect delays.

Striping had previously been scheduled for the week of July 2, however, it was determined that switching the striping material from paint to thermoplastic will provide a higher quality end product that will last longer.  The striping operation was rescheduled to accommodate this change.

Other work that is nearing completion includes landscaping, pedestrian guardrail, trash enclosures, and installation of an interpretive sign.

RIBBON CUTTING

A ribbon cutting ceremony has been scheduled for Friday, July 27, 2018, 12:00 to 1:00.  Please help us celebrate the completion of the Twin Lakes Beachfront Improvement Project.

For the safety of all, please use caution when moving through the construction zone, obey all signage, and please share the road.
